Haramain High-speed Railway – Passenger Station

Project Description

The Haramain High Speed Railway project links the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah via Jeddah and King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh. A passenger station was constructed in each of these cities. El Seif has been awarded one of these stations King Abdullah Economic City.

The scope included the engineering, procurement and construction of all site development works, earthworks, concrete and structural elements, electrical and mechanical installations, plumbing, architectural, interior and exterior finishing, equipment fixing and testing & commissioning. The station facilities included the main building which includes the arrival and departure concourses, mosques with a capacity of 600 worshipers, a center for civil defense, one helipad, total of (7) pavements for trains, car parking with a total capacity of 3,700 parks, VIP lounges and the station has also been linked with the Public Transportation System through the provision of appropriate parking area for buses, and linking the station via pedestrian pathway with the Light Train Station planned to be implemented by the local municipality in the cities.
